Unreliable Narrator presents Real at Arisia 2015

    Time TBD

Arisia - Westin Waterfront Hotel, Boston, MA

Hang onto your specially-engineered cosplay equipment; this January at the Arisia sci-fi convention, Unreliable Narrator will present its short sci-fi play “Real,” the acclaimed closing show from last July’s festival “Human Contact!”

In the near future, retired veteran Leslie uses virtual reality to make a fresh start after a brutal war. How long can he keep going before he is exposed in his new community? “Real” is about how deep relationships can become, even when you are fundamentally lying to people.

“Real” runs half an hour, and will be performed with two other plays on Sunday afternoon, January 18, at the spiffy Boston Westin Waterfront hotel. Featuring the full original “Human Contact” cast: Emily Sheeran, Brian Edgar, Nick Bennett-Zendzian, Pearl Shin, and Kitty Drexel. Directed by Amy Bennett-Zendzian, written by Carl Danielson, stage managed by Jacquelyn Weatherbee.

Get your Arisia memberships here and now at http://www.arisia.org/Registration.

When he returns her to the Duke his father, he hides his true feelings and the Duke and Cassandra marry; Federico is set to marry Aurora, who he scorns out of love for the new Duchess; Aurora believes Federico is melancholy over being displaced by future heirs and seeks to gain his attention by flirting with the Marquis of Mantua, a member of the new Duchesses traveling party; yet, the Duke's philandering days are not quite behind them. When the Duke is sent to war, he leaves Federico in charge and he rules by Cassandra's side. Will the Duke discover their illicit relationship?

    Temple

    8:00pm

Star & Snake, 41 Kelsea Ave, Center Harbor, NH

    (Vadalna will be performing.)

Circle round and I’ll tell you a tale, a story that is old and new.

There was a time when people gathered. Into the hallowed halls they gathered. To the burning fire blazing high they gathered. Into the void of chambers deep within Earth’s womb they gathered. Some walked alone while others traveled in bands. All into the Community they came. No matter their age, no matter their orientation or size or custom, it was here...they gathered The music rose and their bodies moved. A lived celebration of all that was Divine.

And what if I told you this ritual would rise again…
And what if I told you it was already here…

Temple - an immersive ritual celebration bridging art, music, performance and the magical arts.

Hosted by Vadalna Tribal Dance Company and the Star & Snake
